The Two-Day CMMC Assessor Field Readiness Package includes the Day One Field Readiness Workshop plus an optional second-day role-play practicum. Day Two is not a separate course. It is a continuation of Day One that gives participants the opportunity to apply what they learned in a realistic assessment simulation.
The practicum focuses on the first day of a CMMC Level 2 assessment. Participants walk through an initial assessment briefing, question a mock OSC, request and evaluate evidence, work through difficult Access Control scenarios, handle incomplete or conflicting information, and participate in a simulated daily hot wash.
This second day is designed to help assessors think and communicate like they are in a real assessment. Participants will encounter realistic friction, including unclear evidence, scope ambiguity, consultant pushback, MSP/ESP responsibility claims, and pressure to provide remediation advice.
Day Two focuses heavily on:
Initial assessment briefing and role setting
Scope and CUI flow questioning
Access Control evidence review
Mixed-control injects from IA, AU, CM, and RA
Evidence adequacy and efficiency
Mock OSC interviews
Consultant, MSP, and ESP pushback
Daily hot wash and evidence-status communication
Participants will practice how to:
Open a simulated assessment professionally
Ask assessment questions tied to specific CMMC objectives
Request targeted evidence without overburdening the OSC
Identify weak, partial, excessive, or out-of-scope evidence
Avoid giving consulting or remediation advice
Pause and escalate complex judgment calls
Brief open items clearly during a daily hot wash
